There are so many reasons why I love apple cider vinegar, not only is it amazing on full lace wigs and virgin hair weaves, it is also amazing on your own natural hair.
Many times harsh soaps and shampoos can strip hair and skin of their natural oils, leaving them dry. But rinsing your hair with ACV is a great treatment for your hair and scalp and has a long list of benefits:
Apple cider vinegar removes clumpy residue and gunk in hair from product buildup. It also works as a natural detangler. When used regularly in your beauty routine, apple cider vinegar can revitalize your hair, leaving it soft and smooth. The vinegar also works by closing the cuticle of the hair, which makes light reflect off of it. In other words, it makes your hair super shiny!
Directions: Apple Cider Vinegar(ACV) Hair Rinse
Silicon mix Conditioner
1/2 part apple cider vinegar ( You can buy this from your local supermarket or walmart, we recommend braggs organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar)
1 part water
To revive your natural hair, hair weave or full lace wig, mix the apple cider vinegar and water together. After shampooing, apply the mixture onto your hair/weave/full lace wig unit and massage well. Let the apple cider vinegar concoction sit for a few minutes before rinsing fully with water. The apple cider vinegar plus conditioner will leave hair feeling smooth and soft.
Benefits:
Balancing hair and scalp pH – There are many commercial hair-care products that have a negative effect on the hair, leaving it dry and brittle. Our hair has an ideal pH of 4 to 5. The acidity of the ACV rinse means that it can help maintain the pH balance of your hair and remove buildup at the same time without stripping the hair of its natural oils.
Sealing the hair cuticle – As a result, light is reflected off the hair, making it smoother, softer and shinier. This also enables the hair maintain more moisture and helping prevent split ends.
Treating dandruff, itchy and dry scalp – ACV has antibacterial and antifungal properties that help treat itchy, dry scalp.
Works as a natural detangler
Encouraging hair growth – ACV can treat clogged hair follicles due to bacterial infection that creates crusty flakes on the scalp (which can result in hair loss). ACV stimulates better circulation to the hair follicles, which strengthens the hair roots and promotes a healthy hair growth.
