Every Mom Should Read This and Share it.

Virginia teen Nicole Madison Lovell was a 13 year old girl who was a bit overweight and as a result was bullied by other kids at her school. But online, she was able to be anonymous and find easy ‘friends’.

And one of those so called ‘friends’ murdered her!!!!

Her body was found January 30th, just across the North Carolina state line.

Lt. James Bacon, head of the Fairfax County Police Department’s child exploitation unit told the Washington Post that  the 13 year old met her killer (a 18 year old Virginia Tech freshman, an elite athlete has been arrested for her murder), on a social app called KIK.

KIK is a app that not only grants anonymity, it allows users to search by age and lets them use photos that aren’t stored on phones. That makes it popular with teens, and of course, predators. It’s attractive to predators because of its anonymity. You can make a Kik account and you can make yourself out to be anyone you want to be

Nicole’s mother, Tammy Weeks, told the Washington Post she had never even heard of Kik. And moms, do not be deceived: there is NOTHING stopping you or me from becoming just like Tammy Weeks. From becoming the parent of a murdered child. Nothing except our OWN vigilance.

Have you ever heard of KIK before? I had never before this and that is why I am sharing this with you in case you have never heard of it either.

So I am begging you. Be the parent that doesn’t let their kid have a smartphone. Or be the parent that goes through that phone, and your child’s browser history, EVERY night. Be the parent that puts filters on your internet, or a program that sends you an email detailing every site and app your kid looks at. Be THAT parent, and you will be the parent of a child who is NOT the victim of an online predator.

Your kids may hate it. TOO BAD. They’ll thank you later, and I promise, you won’t regret it. Do it for Nicole.

That is all my friends

Peace and Love

Julia

Wow! Wealthy Hair is my new BFF. My beautician recommended this hair after seeing irritation, scaring and abrasions on my scape and neck from store bought hair. Something about the way the retail hair is packaged irritates my skin. After wearing Island Curly Brazilian I shouted, “Free at Last, Free at Last Thank God I am Free”! Wealthy Hair erased all my doubts, frustration and negativity about weave hair. I was so impressed I decided to purchase Relax Straight Brazilian for a new look. This will be my 1st experience with straight weave hair. Wealthy Hair You Rock!
