Lace Front Wig

When it comes to applying your lace front wig, be it anyone, we would come up with two options. You can either make use of contact glues or you can opt to sue a double sided tape. In this blog, I intended to discuss on the pros and cons of the contact glues that you make use of when it comes to applying your front lace wigs.

Contact glues are easy to use are usually purchased online comfortably and quickly. But before you place an order ensure that it is of top quality and the brand is very popular. First, you should apply the glue and allow it to dry and get set, before you bring the wig surface in contact with your scalp.

Remember that irritations can be caused due to these contact glues. If you are one among those who undergo irritation and itching when you make use of contact glues to fix your wig, stop using the glue instantly. Switch over to the double sided tape and fix you wig with ease.

The contact glues are said to contain toluene. Long term bad effects of toluene are unknown. However, when people are forced to work with substances that contain toluene, they often use masks to prevent themselves from inhaling the same. As such, toluene is bad for health and the skin. Beware of this fact before you go ahead with the purchase of the contact glue. When it comes to the application of your front lace wig, the amount of toluene that comes in contact with your skin is going to be very little and does not seem to harm you skin at all.

Actually no matter which glue/adhesive one uses, it is very challenging to keep any lace wigs glued for 4 weeks or more. The reason is very simple. Normal skin regenerates itself and every 2 to 3 weeks sheds dead skin cells that are replaced by new healthy cells. So it has to very strong glue to adhered to the skin, after 2 to 3 weeks when the dead cells of the skin shed, the lace of your lace wig will become lose, since the glue is now on those dead cells.
Ask a dermatologist to confirm what glue is best for you.
Thank you for all the info on lace wigs.
