Step 1: Put the alcohol or acetone into the small glass bowl – a tablespoon full measurement would be just okay. If you need the tape adhesive to become weak faster, acetone would be preferred to alcohol. Step 2: dip the cotton ball into the acetone or alcohol and allow it to soak properly. Then, dab the solution on the areas where the tape has been applied to secure the unit, and around the entire circumference that features the lace. This process is the point where the tape adhesive holding the lace front wigs becomes weak and starts losing grip of the lace front unit. Wait for about 10 minutes, while looking out for the areas that are resistant so that you can apply more alcohol. Step 3: now, pull the lace front unit gently to check if the unit can lift without pressure. If yes, pull and remove the unit – otherwise, apply more alcohol or acetone so that the tape adhesive would be completely weakened. Wash the lace front wigs with quality shampoo immediately after un-installing it. Don’t forget to apply quality conditioner as well. Use the alcohol to get rid of tape adhesive residue on the Lace Front Wigs.

Thank you for these. I’m gonna do this for my new hair extensions. I usually used hair bond for my extensions and it stays longer but I also wanna explore more options too.

Ok thank you! I was looking for a method as I don’t use tape, but got a nice lace front off of clearance and need to add a small amount of tape at the top. Since I don’t use tape or glue I was wondering how in the world could I remove it as normal and still be happy.

Thank you, I have both alcohol and 100% acetone right in my bedroom! Thanks!
